Katie and Kyle | Murrieta, California
2010 days…that’s how many days Katie and Kyle have been in love with each other. Katie and Kyle met on a website, met in person in Las Vegas, promised to love each other forever at Lake Tahoe, and finally were married in Murrieta, California at a beautiful backyard wedding. See, Katie and Kyle are both single parents and so, of course, their children Kylie and Dylan are the most important people in the world to them and not only would a decision to get married affect them, but it would also affect their kids.
Kylie has always wanted a little brother and Dylan has always wanted a sister! When the kids met each other, Katie and Kyle knew that they would be an amazing little family! One problem though, Katie and Kylie lived in Kuna, Idaho, and Kyle and Dylan lived in Temecula, California making for quite a long-distance relationship. Kyle promised to marry Katie at Lake Tahoe with a beautiful diamond band! After living in Idaho for 10+ years, Katie and Kylie decided to move to Temecula and move in with Kyle and Dylan! This was a huge step for Katie as her family and friends were all in Idaho. But, she knew that if she and Kylie moved to California, their lives would become so much better!
Fast forward 5 years and they were finally able to join their families together at a beautiful backyard wedding surrounded by their closest friends and family. And when I say this wedding was a labor of love, I am in no way kidding! Everyone pitched in to make this wedding as beautiful as Katie and Kyle had dreamed it!
The Coleman Manor (as we have lovingly dubbed it) is the home of a close friend of Katie’s. The Coleman’s happily offered their home to Katie for her wedding after she had a problem with her original venue one month before the wedding! After talking with Katie about this change she said “Ya know, this change feels more like us. A chill backyard wedding is totally us!” Katie’s mother, daughter, and friends diligently helped her create the dream wedding she has been wanting. Including the beautiful flower arrangements and bouquets, the decor, the invitations, the beautiful wood hexagon, and so much more! Katie and Kyle spent the night eating freshly made tacos, singing karaoke, roasting smores, and dancing the night away!
Katie and Kyle, Thank you so much for asking me to spend your wonderful day with you! The love that was all around you was felt by everyone. I’m so happy that the four of you are officially a family (as if you weren’t before haha). I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend a Saturday then at your backyard wedding! I hope you love your images as much as I do!
The diamond in Katie’s engagement ring is the diamond from her Mother’s engagement ring! Katie had it custom made into a ring that would be beautiful with her band that Kyle gave her!
Katie’s beautiful veil was made by her close friend Sydney Jesperson and includes the lace from Katie’s mother’s veil!
The gully behind the Coleman’s home was affected by the Tenaja Fire in September 2019! The fire came right up to their backyard and burned all the trees in the gully.
Sleepy Ring Bearer fell asleep with a cookie in his hand! haha

Katie, I wish you and Kyle, deep and lasting happiness as you create new memories that unite your marriage for as long as you live. (Matthew 19:6)
Husband and wife are like pilot and copilot with the same flight plan. Even when challenges come, each spouse thinks in terms of “we” rather than “me”.
Jesi, you did such a beautiful job in capturing all the love and joy that was felt throughout the whole wedding day!
What a beautiful day!
I’m so happy you two found each other. You two are such an inspiration for happily ever afters. Love you both.
